English Translation
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near! Tribulations like patches of dark night - a man wakes up as a believer and goes to sleep as a disbeliever. People will sell their religion for a small portion of worldly gain. The one who holds fast to his religion on that day will be like one grasping hot embers" - or he said: "thorns."
