حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا مَا فِي الْبُيُوتِ مِنْ النِّسَاءِ وَالذُّرِّيَّةِ لَأَقَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ وَأَمَرْتُ فِتْيَانِي يُحْرِقُونَ مَا فِي الْبُيُوتِ بِالنَّارِ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Were it not for the women and children in the houses, I would have established the Isha prayer and ordered my young men to burn down the houses with fire upon those inside.'
