English Translation
Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Bring me ablution water." I brought him water, and he cleaned himself (after relieving himself), then put his hand in the earth and wiped it, then washed it. Then he performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks (khuffayn). I said: "O Messenger of Allah, you did not wash your feet!" He said: "I put them in (the socks) while they were pure."
