حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ عِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ إِذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Three things are a duty upon every Muslim: visiting the sick, attending funerals, and saying 'yarhamuk Allah' (may Allah have mercy on you) to the one who sneezes when he says 'al-hamdu lillah' (praise be to Allah)."
