Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنٌ أَبُو عُمَرَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ أُذَيْنٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ الْعَبْدُ الْإِيمَانَ كُلَّهُ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْكَذِبَ فِي الْمُزَاحَةِ وَيَتْرُكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَادِقًا.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A servant does not achieve complete faith until he abandons lying in jest and abandons arguing even when he is right."
