حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا فَرْقَدٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ أَخِي مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ أَكْذَبُ أَوْ مِنْ أَكْذَبِ النَّاسِ الصَّبَّاغِينَ وَالصَّوَّاغِينَ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْذَبِ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed the most - or among the most - lying of people are the dyers and the goldsmiths." Affan said on one occasion: "Among the most lying."
