حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ وَلَا أَظُنُّهُ إِلَّا عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not sit on the roads.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we have no choice; it is where we sit and talk.' He said: 'If you must sit, then give the road its right.' They said: 'What is the right of the road?' He said: 'Lowering the gaze, removing harm, returning the greeting, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.'
