English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a servant commits a sin, a black spot is placed on his heart. If he repents, the spot is removed and his heart is polished. If he continues sinning, the black spots increase until they cover his heart. That is the covering (ran) that Allah mentioned: No, rather their hearts have been covered by what they used to earn (83:14).'
