حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقَارِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ لَا وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ مَا أَنَا قُلْتُ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا يَصُومُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَرَبِّ الْبَيْتِ قَالَهُ مَا أَنَا نَهَيْتُ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مُحَمَّدٌ نَهَى عَنْهُ وَرَبِّ الْبَيْتِ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Faith has sixty-odd or seventy-odd branches. The highest is saying La ilaha illallah (There is no deity except Allah), and the lowest is removing something harmful from the road. And modesty is a branch of faith.'
