حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيَمِينُ الْكَاذِبَةُ مَنْفَقَةٌ لِلسِّلْعَةِ مَمْحَقَةٌ لِلْكَسْبِ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْبَرَكَةَ.
English Translation
Ibn Abi Adi told us, from Shu'bah, from al-Ala', and Ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, he said: I heard al-Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A false oath promotes the sale of merchandise but destroys profit" - Ibn Ja'far said, "destroys the blessing."
