حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَرْبٍ الدَّيْلِيِّ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَظَلَّتْ الْخَضْرَاءُ وَلَا أَقَلَّتْ الْغَبْرَاءُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ أَصْدَقَ لَهْجَةً مِنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Hammad told us: Abu Awanah informed us, from al-A'mash: Uthman ibn Qays told us, from Abu Harb al-Dayli: I heard Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Neither has the green sky given shade, nor has the dusty earth carried, a man more truthful in speech than Abu Dharr.
