حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَدَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَتَيْ مَرَّةٍ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَمْ يَسْبِقْهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلَهُ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ إِلَّا بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ يَعْنِي إِلَّا مَنْ عَمِلَ بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammad told us, from Thabit and Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever says two hundred times in a day: 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things' - no one before him will have surpassed him, and no one after him will overtake him, except one who does more than his deed" - meaning, except one who does better than his deed.
