حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيٍّ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تَدْرُونَ مَنْ الْمُسْلِمُ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ قَالَ تَدْرُونَ مَنْ الْمُؤْمِنُ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ السُّوءَ فَاجْتَنَبَهُ.
English Translation
Zayd ibn al-Hubab told us: Musa ibn Ali informed me: I heard my father say: I heard Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Do you know who the Muslim is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "He from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe." He said, "Do you know who the believer is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "He whom the believers trust with their lives and their wealth. And the emigrant is he who abandons evil and avoids it."
