حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ سَمِعْتُ سَيْفًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رُشَيْدٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو حَدِّثْنِي مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَدَعْنِي وَمَا وَجَدْتَ فِي وَسْقِكَ يَوْمَ الْيَرْمُوكِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ الْحَكَمَ سَمِعْتُ سَيْفًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رُشَيْدٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَدَعْنَا وَمِمَّا وَجَدْتَ فِي وَسْقَيْكَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated from al-Hakam, I heard Sayf narrating from Rushayd al-Hajari from his father that a man said to Abdullah ibn Amr: "Tell me what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and leave aside what you found in your loads on the day of Yarmuk." He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe." Husayn narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated, I heard al-Hakam, I heard Sayf narrating from Rushayd al-Hajari - and he mentioned the hadith, except that he said: "and leave aside what you found in your two loads."
