حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَامِرٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَذْرَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا عِتْقَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا طَلَاقَ لَهُ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا يَمِينَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ.
English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us: Amir al-Ahwal informed us from Amr ibn Shu'ayb from his father from his grandfather who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "There is no vow for the son of Adam regarding what he does not own, no manumission for the son of Adam regarding what he does not own, no divorce for him regarding what he does not own, and no oath regarding what he does not own."
