English Translation
Isma'il narrated from Yunus from al-Hasan that Abdullah ibn Amr said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: How will you be when you remain among the dregs of people? I said: O Messenger of Allah, how is that? He said: When their covenants and trusts become confused, and they become like this — and Yunus interlaced his fingers, describing that. I said: What should I do then, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Fear Allah the Almighty, hold on to what you recognize (as good), leave what you find objectionable, attend to your own affairs, and beware of the affairs of the common people.
