حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ بَايَعَ إِمَامًا فَأَعْطَاهُ صَفْقَةَ يَدِهِ وَثَمَرَةَ قَلْبِهِ فَلْيُطِعْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ جَاءَ آخَرُ يُنَازِعُهُ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَ الْآخَرِ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us: al-A'mash narrated from Zayd ibn Wahb from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd Rabb al-Ka'bah from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Whoever gives the pledge of allegiance to a leader and gives him his handclasp and the sincerity of his heart, let him obey him as much as he can. If another comes to dispute with him, then strike the neck of the other one.
