حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَمَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّقِيعَ لِلْخَيْلِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ خَيْلِهِ قَالَ خَيْلِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.
English Translation
Hammad ibn Khalid narrated to us: Abdullah narrated from Nafi from Ibn Umar who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) reserved al-Naqi' for the horses. I asked him: O Abu Abd al-Rahman — meaning al-Umari — his horses? He said: The horses of the Muslims.
