حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ.
English Translation
Hammad ibn Khalid narrated to us: Malik narrated from Nafi from Ibn Umar that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The right of patronage (wala') belongs to the one who sets the slave free.
