حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ قَالَ نَعَمْ.
English Translation
Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated from Hanzalah that he heard Tawus say: I heard Abdullah ibn Umar when a man asked him: Did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbid al-jarr (earthenware vessels) and al-dubba' (gourd vessels)? He said: Yes.
