English Translation
Abdur-Razzaq told us, Ibn Jurayj informed me: Nafi' informed me that Ibn Umar would sometimes send him on an errand while he was fasting, and his supper would be brought to him, and the call for the Maghrib prayer had been given and then the prayer would be established while he could hear it, yet he would not leave his supper nor hurry, until he had finished his supper, then he would go out and pray. He said: And he used to say: The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not hurry away from your supper when it is brought to you.
