حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ وَعُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.
English Translation
Abdur-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar and Abdul-A'la told us, from Ma'mar, from az-Zuhri, from Salim, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for indeed Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand. Ibrahim ibn Khalid told us, Rabah told us, from Ma'mar, from az-Zuhri, from Salim ibn Abdullah, raising it to the Prophet, who said: When one of you eats - and he mentioned the hadith. Abdur-Razzaq told us: I heard Malik ibn Anas and Ubaydullah ibn Umar relating, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Bakr ibn Ubaydullah, from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the like of it.
