حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.
English Translation
Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Hashimi told us; Sa'id ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Jumahi told us, from Ubaydullah ibn Umar, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, made obligatory the zakat al-fitr of Ramadan, a sa' of dates or a sa' of barley, upon every free person or slave, male or female, among the Muslims.
