حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا إِنَّ مَثَلَ آجَالِكُمْ فِي آجَالِ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى مُغَيْرِبَانِ الشَّمْسِ.
English Translation
Yunus told us, Hammad - that is, Ibn Zayd - told us, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the likeness of your allotted lifespans compared to the lifespans of the nations before you is like the time between the Asr prayer and sunset."
