حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ الْعَلَمَ فِي الصُّورَةِ وَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ضَرْبِ الْوَجْهِ.
English Translation
Abdullah b. al-Harith told us, Hanzalah told me, from Salim b. Abdullah, from Abdullah b. Umar, that he disliked branding the face of an animal with a distinctive mark, and said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade striking the face.
