حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ رَاكِبًا وَسَائِرَ ذَلِكَ مَاشِيًا وَيُخْبِرُهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ.
English Translation
Surayj told us, Abdullah told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, that he used to throw the pebbles at the pillar on the Day of Sacrifice while riding, and the rest of the time on foot, and he informed them that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to do that.
