حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْوِصَالِ فَقَالَ أَوَلَسْتَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى.
English Translation
Ishaq told us, Malik told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade fasting continuously without breaking the fast, so it was said to him: "But do you not fast continuously?" He said: "I am given food and drink [by my Lord]."
