English Translation
Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, told us: Malik informed us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Let none of you undercut another's sale, and he forbade najsh, and he forbade the sale of habal al-habalah, and he forbade muzabanah - and muzabanah is selling fresh fruit for dried dates by measure, and selling grapes on the vine for raisins by measure. Mus'ab told us: Malik told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade najsh - similarly.
