حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ ابْنُهُ حَمْزَةُ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Shu'bah told us: Abdullah ibn Dinar informed me, from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: He forbade the selling of the right of inheritance by manumission and its being given as a gift. He said: I said: Did you hear this from Ibn Umar? He said: Yes, and his son Hamzah asked him about it.
