حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي أُتِيَ بِفَضِيخٍ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْفَضِيخِ فَشَرِبَهُ فَلِذَلِكَ سُمِّيَ.
English Translation
Waki' told us: Abdullah ibn Nafi' told me, from his father, from Ibn Umar: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was brought some fadikh in the Mosque of al-Fadikh, and he drank it, and that is why it was named so.
