حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا وُضِعَ الْعَشَاءُ وَأُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ قَالَ وَلَقَدْ تَعَشَّى ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَرَّةً وَهُوَ يَسْمَعُ قِرَاءَةَ الْإِمَامِ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Wuhayb told us: Ayyub told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: When dinner is served and the prayer is called, begin with dinner. He said: And Ibn Umar once ate dinner while he could hear the imam's recitation.
