حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَأَعْطَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَبْتَاعُ الْفَرَسَ الَّذِي حَمَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَبْتَعْهُ وَلَا تَرْجِعْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ubayd told us: Ubaydullah told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar: that Umar gave a horse as a charitable donation in the way of Allah, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave it to a man. Umar came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: Shall I buy back the horse that I gave? He said: Do not buy it, and do not take back your charity.
