English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ubayd told us: Ubaydullah told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: A man asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was on the pulpit, about the night prayer. He said: Two by two. When one of you fears that dawn is approaching, let him pray one rak'ah, and it will make what he has prayed odd-numbered.
