حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوتِرُ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَفِي وَسَطِهِ وَفِي آخِرِهِ ثُمَّ ثَبَتَ لَهُ الْوَتْرُ فِي آخِرِهِ.
English Translation
It was narrated that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray Witr at the beginning of the night and in the middle and at the end, then he persisted in praying it at the end of the night.
