حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ وَهُوَ الْأَعْشَى عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ الشَّامِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English Translation
Hashim told us, Sharik told us, from Uthman - meaning Ibn al-Mughirah, who is al-A'sha - from Muhajir al-Shami, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever wears a garment of notoriety in this world, Allah will clothe him with a garment of humiliation on the Day of Resurrection."
