حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ مُحَمَّدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُوتِيتُ مَفَاتِيحَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الْخَمْسَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd, that he heard his father Muhammad narrating from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: I have been given the keys to everything, except five: Indeed Allah, with Him is the knowledge of the Hour; He sends down the rain; He knows what is in the wombs; no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow; and no soul knows in what land it will die. Indeed Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
