حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ أَوْ ابْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ قَاعِدًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الْغَفُورُ حَتَّى عَدَّ الْعَادُّ بِيَدِهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Yunus ibn Khabbab, Abu al-Fadl - or Ibn al-Fadl - told us, from Ibn Umar, that he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said: O Allah, forgive me and accept my repentance, indeed You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Forgiving, until the one counting counted a hundred times on his hand.
