حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْمَغَانِمَ تُجَزَّأُ خَمْسَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ ثُمَّ يُسْهَمُ عَلَيْهَا فَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهُوَ لَهُ يَتَخَيَّرُ.
English Translation
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: I saw the spoils divided into five parts, then lots were cast over them; whatever was for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he would choose it for himself.
