حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو طُعْمَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنِّي أَقْوَى عَلَى الصِّيَامِ فِي السَّفَرِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْ رُخْصَةَ اللَّهِ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الْإِثْمِ مِثْلُ جِبَالِ عَرَفَةَ.
English Translation
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu Tu'mah told us, that he said: I was with Ibn Umar when a man came to him and said: "O Abu Abd al-Rahman, I am able to fast while traveling." Ibn Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever does not accept the concession of Allah will bear a sin like the mountains of Arafah."
