حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَا يَرُدُّ مِنْ الْقَدَرِ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from 'Abd Allah ibn Murrah, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade vowing, and said: 'It does not avert anything from the divine decree; it is only used to extract something from the miser.'
