حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَقْرُنَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ التَّمْرَتَيْنِ حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنَ أَصْحَابَهُ.
English Translation
Waki' and 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Jabalah ibn Suhaym, from Ibn 'Umar - 'Abd al-Rahman said: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade a man from combining two dates until he asks the permission of his companions.
