English Translation
Waki' narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Najrani, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: A drunk man was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he administered the prescribed punishment to him. Then he said: 'What was your drink?' He said: 'Raisins and dates.' He said: 'Do not mix the two; each of them is sufficient on its own without the other.'
