English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from 'Ubayd Allah - Nafi' informed me - from Ibn 'Umar, that 'Umar, may Allah Almighty be pleased with him, donated a horse to be ridden in Allah's cause. 'Umar gave it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so that he might let a man ride it. Then 'Umar was informed that the man had left it standing for sale. He said: So he asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about buying it back. He said: 'Do not buy it, and do not take back your charity.'
