حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ هُوَ ابْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْفُوا اللِّحَى وَحُفُّوا الشَّوَارِبَ.
English Translation
Abd ar-Rahman told us, Sufyan told us: I heard Abd ar-Rahman - Ibn Mahdi said he is Ibn Alqamah - say: I heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Let beards grow and trim the moustaches."
