حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الْوَرْسِ وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا لِلْمُحْرِمِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ.
English Translation
Abdullah said: I found in my father's book: Hajjaj told us, Shu'bah told me, from Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn Umar narrating from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he forbade wars (a yellow dye) and saffron. Shu'bah said: I said, "For the one in the sacred state of ihram?" He said, "Yes."
