English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and al-Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Muharib ibn Dithar: I heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the dubba' (gourd vessel), the hantam (clay jar), and the muzaffat (pitch-coated vessel). Shu'bah said: I heard it more than once. Hajjaj said: And he said: I am uncertain about the naqir (hollowed-out log vessel). Hajjaj said, in his narration, several times.
