حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَرْسَلَنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ فَقَالَ تَعَالَ حَتَّى أُوَدِّعَكَ كَمَا وَدَّعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَرْسَلَنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَقَالَ أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ.
English Translation
Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah al-Fazari told us: Abd al-Aziz ibn Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz informed us, from Isma'il ibn Jarir, from Qaza'ah, who said: Abdullah ibn Umar said — and he had sent me on an errand for him — 'Come, let me bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, bade me farewell' — and he had sent me on an errand for him — 'he took my hand and said: I entrust to Allah your religion, your trustworthiness, and the outcome of your deeds.'
