حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ لَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ رَآهَا تُبَاعُ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from Ibn Umar, that Umar donated a horse of his in the way of Allah, then he saw it being sold and wanted to buy it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: 'Do not take back your charity.'
