حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عَمْرِو الْجُمَحِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَمَرَّتْ رُفْقَةٌ لِأُمِّ الْبَنِينَ فِيهَا أَجْرَاسٌ فَحَدَّثَ سَالِمٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَصْحَبُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ رَكْبًا مَعَهُمْ الْجُلْجُلُ فَكَمْ تَرَى فِي هَؤُلَاءِ مِنْ جُلْجُلٍ.
English Translation
Yazid told us, from Nafi' ibn 'Amr al-Jumahi, from Abu Bakr ibn Musa, who said: I was with Salim ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar when a caravan of Umm al-Banin passed by with bells on it. Salim related from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said, "The angels do not accompany a travelling party that has with them a bell." So how many bells do you see among these?
