حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَنَابٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ قَالَ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ الْبَعِيرَ يَكُونُ بِهِ الْجَرَبُ فَتَجْرَبُ الْإِبِلُ قَالَ ذَلِكَ الْقَدَرُ فَمَنْ أَجْرَبَ الْأَوَّلَ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, Abu Janab told us, from his father, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no contagion, no evil omen, and no ill-omened owl." A man stood up and said, "O Messenger of God, what about the camel that has mange, and then the other camels catch mange from it?" He said, "That is decree - so who caused the first one to have mange?"
